Matcha spirulina balls

 What a sweet way to recharge with Spirulina! Super easy to make! Recipe is based on crispy sprouted sunflower seeds and melting cocoa butter. We love dates - one of the sweetest dried fruits.

Ingredients

(for 10 balls)
100g sunflower seeds, sprouted if possible
80g Medjool dates, pitted
4 Tbsp cacao butter, melted in a water bath
2 Tbsp hulled hemp seeds
1 Tbsp chia seeds
1 Tbsp (3g) Spirulina powder
for decoration: 
matcha (green tea)

Steps

  • Mix dates, sunflower seeds, spirulina and cocoa butter in a food processor/ blender.
  • Add hemp seed and chia seeds to the ready mixture.
  • Knead by hand to keep the seeds whole.
  • Shape into balls.
  • Generously sprinkle with matcha.
