Do you know that Superheroes need to take exams too? The international certificate IFS is proof of high standard of quality in more than 90 countries on four continents. For a company to be awarded with the certificate, it needs to comply with more than 300 requirements. Spoiler alert: Roobar did pass the exam. With excellence or, to be more precise, with 96,91% out of 100%.
Production and Quality Control are the essential ingredients in the recipe of success for Roobar. Kalin Karadzhov (Quality Manager) and Marian Dobrinov (Production Manager) are the people responsible for the high grade. Their dedicated work, attention to detail, and exceptional management secured the IFS certification. Kalin and Marian took a few minutes to tell us why this certificate is important for you.
What exactly is the IFS certificate?
IFS is one of the strictest international standards for quality and safety of food production. It is awarded only to the best companies after they have demonstrated their production standards are as high as the required by the organization. Our company achieved 96,91% conformity, which is an outstanding score.
Who issues the certificate?
The certificate is issued by Tüv-Nord, Germany.
What does the certification process look like and how much time did it take?
The whole company went through an external audit in which every department and work process were inspected by accredited auditors to see whether we comply with the high standards of IFS. All of our documentation, as well as the production process itself, was scrutinized. The audit took one whole day, but the preparation for it started months before that and it involved all departments.
High quality is a standard which we conform to daily. The certificate is just a formal acknowledgement of the direction we have chosen.
What follows now?
The certificate is secured by an annual audit carried out by the issuing organization. We are yet to defend the level of high quality we have achieved. And even exceed it.
It is important to note that this certificate is awarded just to the Roobar brand.
So what’s next? Even though our score is excellent, there is still room for improvement in our documentation processes so that we can achieve 100%. There isn’t a company that has scored this high yet, but we at Roobar like challenges.
